One of the key objectives of the technology was to provide interoperability with other IM/PN services such MSN Messenger and AOL’ AIM. Another important goal of the project was to provide an extensible environment, which could be used to offer advanced network community services.
The core part of the technology consisted of a collection of servers, collectively referred to as the Matrix Server, which supported the key notions of players, places, properties and presence. The core technology also supported the framework for having an extensible, open collection of “world objects”, also called worldlets, which provided additional functionality to the user.
CIStems was selected as a key development partner for the platform technology and was asked to provide both an onsite team, which could work at Florham Park, and an offshore team, which could work from India.
The onsite team worked in close association with the AT&T Research Labs management and technical staff to develop the core technology consisting of the Matrix Server and Matrix Clients.
The offshore team had the responsibility to develop a collection of worldlets and also to perform system quality assurance for various components of Matrix. This will allow the bank to consolidate the data at one place to provide analytical reporting, and also to offer anywhere banking facilities in future.

Summary: Project Sullivan consists of the development of a financial derivatives trading site. This site allows its members to trade derivative securities interactively with a web interface, as they would do with a real life trading partner or market maker. The website contains a trading engine, which provides ‘put’ and ‘call’ options to the members of the Site. The trading engine calculates the price of each option using Black-Scholes options pricing model or its variations. It incorporates option contracts with a primary focus on forex, stock indices and prices of individual stocks as the underlying assets or variables. The system has the ability to add or drop different kinds of options contracts.
Summary: The UML Bridge is an import-export facility that will allow ObjectAssembler 2.0 to exchange components with UML models created in Rational Rose and other OMG-compliant UML modeling tools.
The UML Bridge is comprised of three primary Java subcomponents:
· Java code to handle UML-to-ObjectAssembler 2.0 component conversion and ObjectAssembler 2.0-to-UML component conversion. The UML Bridge uses Novosoft’s comprehensive API (called “NSUML”) for constructing UML models and exporting these as XMI. · An “Import from UML” Wizard that allows users to control the import process.

Summary: CIStems Offshore development center worked closely with Peoplink Inc., to develop a powerful, economical ecommerce system, CatGen, designed to overcome the challenges of international trade.
CatGen offers a desktop application that enables merchants to build their own online and offline catalogs. A vendor can host his catalogue any CatGen server being run and managed by a CatGen partners. A CatGen server is like a B2B Exchange with catalogues and shopping options available from several vendors.
CIStems was responsible for developing various components on the CatGen server including hosting of a catalogue on a server, display of catalogues, shopping cart etc.
Summary: Madlah is again a lottery centric gaming site being developed for Webtransact. The site has four interactive web-based games, namely, Durian Lotto, Scratcha, Tell Monger and Spin & Win. Among these games, Durian Lotto is played in real-time and the other two are batch processing based. The site would also be offering SMS based interface to play the games using hand held mobile devices. The users can play games to win points that can be collected over a period of time and redeemed against gift items available on the site.
The project also involved building an Advertisement Management System (AMS) and an Ad Server for the site. AMS can be used by clients for registering and uploading their advertisements for various banner spaces available on Madlah. AMS also provides complete accounting system for the billing and payments related to these advertisements. The Ad Server is responsible for serving the ads based on various policies available on the site.

One of the most powerful feature of the website is online rate analysis using the BSR (Basic Schedule of Rates) provided by the state government. The biggest challenge in the project was to represent the BSR in the form of a structured database. The site also offers the feature for House Loan estimation, which facilitates the administrator to handle house loan estimation requests sent by the users through email in a specified format.
